I have prepared myself for jumping completely into the deep end of the Nats pool. I won't be abandoning allegiences to the Mets (and oh my..what if I wore some Mets gear when the Nats play them!) completely, since chances are they won't both be competing for a playoff position together for a while, but when they meet, I will be rooting for the Nats.
The Cub fan in me is jubilant that the Mets have removed Beltran from the Astros and legitimate playoff contention. The Nats fan in me is happy we will see Beltran play in RFK for a decent number of games per season...he is a sweet and smooth player.
(As for when the Cubs play the Nats, it will be Cubs all the way, down to the hat and crawling bear logo jersey...)
Ohmigosh, just look at those ERA - Won/Lost combinations on those 93 Mets. Gooden: 3.45, 12-15.
Saberhagen 3.29, 7-7. El Sid, 2.93, 5-6. And the famous Anthony Young, 3.77, 1-16.
Yep, those numbers are gonna look mighty familiar on the Natspos this year.

How, I mean HOOOOWWW did Anthony Young go 3-30 from 1992 to 1993 with an ERA right around the league average??
